“Together against poverty” – festive reception of the stja / Empfang

Numerous supporters contribute to the Karlsruhe Pass and Karlsruhe Children's Pass with their own discounts, showing a heart for financially less well-off children and adults. This commitment is recognized with the "Label against Poverty", whose symbol is a fanned-out heart. On 06.03.2018, this label was presented to the secondhand stores of the Diakonie, the Kinderland St. Stephan, the Badisch Brauhaus, the Karlsruher SSC, the Budoclub and the MTV Karlsruhe at a reception hosted by the stja board member, Daniel Melchien.

Label against poverty – Modehaus Schöpf
One year of support of Karlsruhe Passport and Karlsruhe Children's Passport by the fashion store Schöpf: On this occasion, Mayor Martin Lenz awarded the owner, Dr. Melitta Büchner-Schöpf, the new "Label against Poverty", a sign of the joint participation of different actors in Karlsruhe in the fight against poverty, on 21.11.2017.

Extension SozialRegion – Rheinstetten

The Lord Mayor of Rheinstetten, Sebastian Schrempp and the Lord Mayor of the City of Karlsruhe, Dr. Frank Mentrup signed a cooperation agreement on 04.03.2017, which also introduces the Karlsruhe Pass for adults in Rheinstetten on 01.03.2017. This will make numerous discounts available to Rheinstetten residents, e.g. at swimming pools, libraries, clubs, educational institutions, the Karlsruhe Zoo, and much more, including the 60PLUS education voucher.

Extension SocialRegion – Karlsruher Kinderpass Waldbronn
The cooperation agreement for the introduction of the Karlsruhe Kinderpass was signed by Franz Masino, Mayor of Waldbronn, and Dr. Frank MEntrup, Lord Mayor of the City of Karlsruhe, in Waldbronn's town hall on July 18, 2017, making the Karlsruhe Kinderpass available to Waldbronn children and young people from August 1, 2017.

Extension SozialRegion Rheinstetten und Weingarten (Baden)
Two municipalities are expanding the social region on March 1st, 2014. With the signing of the cooperation agreement by the mayors of Karlsruhe, Rheinstetten and Weingarten (Baden), even more children now have access to the discounts on the Karlsruhe children's pass and thus the opportunity to pursue their individual interests.

Start of the SozialRegion
On March 20, 2013, the city of Stutensee was the first municipality to join the Karlsruhe children's pass. The starting date for issuing the first children's passes is May 2nd, 2013. This means that children and young people from Stutensee can use the Karlsruhe children's passes to the full extent, as well as Karlsruhe children can use the discounts in Stutensee. This special occasion was honored by Klaus Demal, mayor of the city of Stutensee, in the presence of employees from Stutensee and representatives from Karlsruhe
