DAS FEST 2023
The entrance fee for "DAS FEST" from 20.07. to 23.07.2023 is reduced to 5 € for one day with a Karlsruhe passport/children's passport. A voucher can be picked up at the jfbw office during opening hours from 14.03.2023 for a selected day per person, which can be redeemed at KME Karlsruhe Marketing und Event GmbH between the beginning of April and the end of June.

Extension SozialRegion – Hambrücken, Linkenheim-Hochstetten, VG Hagenbach
Three municipalities joined the social region at the end of 2022. BM Dr. Marc Wagner from Hambrücken, BM Iris Fleisch from the municipality of Hagenbach and BM Michael Möslang from Linkenheim-Hochstetten as well as the Lord Mayor of Karlsruhe, Dr. Frank Mentrup signed the corresponding cooperation agreements on December 6th, 2022 in Karlsruhe City Hall.

Extension SozialRegion – Bad Schönborn

With Bad Schönborn and the introduction of both the Karlsruhe Children's Pass and the Karlsruhe Pass, the circle of municipalities participating in the SozialRegion expands to ten cities and municipalities on March 27, 2020. With the signing of the cooperation agreement by Detlev Huge, Mayor of Bad Schönborn, and Dr. Frank Mentrup, Lord Mayor of the City of Karlsruhe, the path to more participation in the region is clear for the residents of Bad Schönborn.

Extension SozialRegion – Karlsruher Pass in Pfinztal

In addition to the Karlsruhe Children's Pass, the Karlsruhe Pass for adults is now available for the residents of Pfinztal. On 01.03.2022, the Mayor of Karlsruhe, Dr. Frank Mentrup, and the Mayor of Pfinztal, Nicola Bodner, signed the cooperation agreement. This means that not only people from Pfinztal can benefit from the discounts of the Karlsruhe Pass, but also pass holders from all municipalities of the SozialRegion can participate in the offers in Pfinztal.p>

Extension SocialRegion – Graben-Neudorf and Forst
Two new members expand the SozialRegion with the signing of the cooperation agreements on 08.10.2021 by Mayor Dr. Frank Mentrup (Karlsruhe), BM Christian Eheim (Graben-Neudorf) and BM Bernd Killinger (Forst). As of 01.01.2022, the Karlsruhe Passport and Karlsruhe Children's Passport can be applied for in Graben-Neudorf, the Karlsruhe Children's Passport can also be applied for in Forst.

Anniversary “Five years of SozialRegion” / Jubiläum

On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the SozialRegion, the first municipality to join, the city of Stutensee, hosted a symposium on the SozialRegion. In addition to expert input and a panel discussion, the mayors of the participating cities and municipalities and representatives of the district signed a charter against poverty.
