Climbing without harness and rope, the so-called bouldering, in the middle of the city - cool training, challenges and lots of fun for all who want to be new or have been bouldering for a long time. With the Karlsruhe children's passport 10% discount on the Boulderkids contract is available, adults with the Karlsruhe passport who want to boulder themselves receive the reduced price.

Indoor and outdoor activities are possible here, either in the climbing and bouldering center (Fächerbad stop) or in joint activities such as mountain biking, climbing, hiking, skiing, going on ski tours and many more. The Post Südstadt Karlsruhe e.V. (PSK) is a sports club located in the Rüppurr district of Karlsruhe. About 5,000 members of all ages are active in more than 20 departments at PSK. The basketball players of the PS Karlsruhe LIONS have achieved national fame. Adults with the Karlsruhe Passport receive a reduction on the general membership fee. Education vouchers 60+ are also accepted.

Extension SozialRegion – Hambrücken, Linkenheim-Hochstetten, VG Hagenbach
Three municipalities joined the social region at the end of 2022. BM Dr. Marc Wagner from Hambrücken, BM Iris Fleisch from the municipality of Hagenbach and BM Michael Möslang from Linkenheim-Hochstetten as well as the Lord Mayor of Karlsruhe, Dr. Frank Mentrup signed the corresponding cooperation agreements on December 6th, 2022 in Karlsruhe City Hall.

Expansion of the SocialRegion – Karlsruhe Children’s Pass in Wörth am Rhein
The Mayor of Karlsruhe, Dr. Frank Mentrup, and the Mayor of Wörth am Rhein, Dr. Dennis Nitsche, signed the cooperation agreement for the Karlsruhe Children's Pass on 12.07.2022. This means that 13 cities and municipalities are now involved in the SozialRegion, which has now developed into a cross-state cooperation for the first time.
